The forms of assessment of student performance
The course is examined individually through a written assignment and mandatory seminars.
Course contents
The course focuses on various aspects of discourse analysis/theory and discusses theoretical and methodological issues in relation to learning in work and education (work-integrated learning). Discourse analysis/theory is used as a basis to study the relationship between work, education, and learning (WIL). Different discourse analytical approaches are discussed based on theoretical and methodological issues. Data production and analysis are critically examined from epistemological and ethical perspectives. The course aims to develop the ability to conduct discourse analysis and to review articles that have used the method. Furthermore, significant concepts and approaches to achieve credibility are discussed.
