The forms of assessment of student performance
The course is examined by a written assignment, peer-review of two other students' assignments, and oral presentation and discussion at a seminar.
Course contents
The course offers an orientation about work-integrated learning (WIL) theories and what WIL are related to PhD education as a basis for a career within and beyond academia. The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge and competence needed to identify individual career goals, make strategies, and identify WIL activities that will support reaching these goals. Relevant parts of the course content should be integrated as far as possible into the PhD student's individual PhD education as a strategic path to the future. The course consists of scheduled compulsory meetings, with planned individual activities between meetings. The teaching is conducted in the form of lectures, study visits, group discussions and seminars.
