After the completed course, the student shall be able to:

- describe content of corporate financial statements and annual reports
- characterize key factor models
- characterize key sources of long term capital for corporations and explain how they are issued
- explain the concept of capital structure and dividend policies and their impact on corporate value
- describe use of options in corporate finance
Skills and abilities
- calculate and interpret basic financial statement ratios
- identify strengths and weaknesses in key investment rules
Judgment and approach
- identify and critically analyze potential conflicts with corporate objectives and long-term sustainability
- explain how good governance principles and corporate social responsibility can contribute to sustainable growth.

The forms of assessment of student performance
Examination is by individual written assignment and a individual written exam.
Course contents
The course contains the following major moments:
- introduction to corporate finance
- long-term financial planning and growth
- capital budget and the time value of money
- cost of capital and and long-term financial policy
- short-term financial planning mergers and acquisitions
- option valuation.
