After completing the course, the student should be able to:
Knowledge and understanding
- show knowledge and understanding in what Knowledge Management (KM) involves and its importance for effective, efficient and sustainable Supply Chains.
- show knowledge and understanding in challenges and potentials for Knowledge Management in Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- show knowledge and understanding in current research themes for Knowledge Management in Supply Chain Management.
Competence and skill
- critically analyse current research themes and practical challenges for Knowledge Management in Supply Chains.
- identify and justify possible research questions in Knowledge Management in Supply Chain Management.
- perform a scientific study on a specific Knowledge Management research topic in Supply Chain Management.
- in a scientific way document the completed study, and orally present and defend it
- critically analyse and assess the quality of a scientific paper in the area of Knowledge Management in Supply Chain Management and give suggestions for improvements.
Judgement and approach
- demonstrate the ability to make assessments in the field of Knowledge Management in Supply Chain informed by relevant disciplinary, social and ethical issues and also to demonstrate awareness of ethical aspects of research and development work.

LOV600-Operations and Supply Chain Management or the equivalent.

Written assignment performed in groups with individual oral presentation.
Course contents
Knowledge Management (KM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) are two management concepts that aim to support the company in its efforts to efficiently meet the requirements of a fast changing world. Knowledge Management is to provide the appropriate knowledge to those that need it when it is needed with the purpose of improving organizational effectiveness and being competitive. The development of technology and Industry 5.0 have provided enormous opportunities here. The advantages of sharing knowledge in Supply Chains are well established in the literature and critical for success. In the course the student will select a focused research topic in the area of Knowledge Management in Supply Chain Management. This means that the student has a unique opportunity to influence what to be learnt in this course.
