Entry requirements
Anyone qualified to be admitted to a third-cycle programme in work-integrated learning or the equivalent can be admitted to this course
The forms of assessment of student performance
Third-cycle students are examined when on an individual basis they, orally and in writing,account and critically analyze course content as well as when they in a final, individual oral and written assignment relate this to their own dissertation.
Course contents
The course starts with a historical and conceptual introduction to work integrated learning where the relation between theoretical and practical knowledge stands at center. Thereafter the course discusses different ways of understanding the relation between work integrated learning as a learning theory, pedagogical method, and research subject. In the second part of the course, the concept of work and working life are in focus from aspects such as profession and culture, power and social organization as well as digitalization. Relevant parts of the content should, if possible, be integrated into the third-cycle student’s own dissertation work.
