Course contents

This course covers the welding metallurgy of steels and cast irons that are commonly used in the industry by first proving an overview of related manufacturing processes to understand the connection to the material's properties and their influence on the welding process. How thermal cycles, present during welding, change the microstructure and properties of welded material are treated. Furthermore, the course covers various aspects related to welding metallurgy such as quality, defects, and corrosion properties, as well as different mechanical failure mechanisms.
