Learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding, regarding:
- different study designs, experiment, observational study and a randomized trial
- how to summarize and visualize a dataset, in an adequate and understandable manner
- basic analysis of statistical relationship
- basics in hypothesis testing
- basics in survey methodology
Skills:
- produce basic descriptive statistics, regression and chi-square test by using SPSS
- Write a minor statistical report

The forms of assessment of student performance
Two minor and one major (analysing a small survey and write a report) computer assignments and an oral examination. If assignments are solved in a group, each member of the group must be able to defend, reproduce, explain the complete assignment.
