After the course the student shall be able to:
Knowledge and understanding
- explain the fundamentals of cloud computing architectures based on current standards, protocols, and best practices
- describe cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilites and privacy issues in cloud systems
- explain principles of cloud network and infrastructure security
- describe how cloud security differs from security in traditional IT-system
- explain the differences between common scientific methods
- describe principles for experiment design and measurement methodology
Skills and abilities
- setup and configure identity and authentication services
- identify, manage, and protect cloud data and assets
- use methods and tools to identify and reduce vulnerabilities in cloud system
- independently identify, formulate, and manage a scientific study
- select, evaluate, and apply suitable research methods given a scientific problem

Course contents
The course covers cybersecurity in cloud services and systems. The course is based on lectures and hands-on experience of cloud security in a live cloud environment. The course also contains an introduction to research methodology, which is applied in an academic study of a cloud security topic.
